Babywearing

I glanced down at Emma the other day and was in awe of her cuteness and the amazing peace of a sleeping baby. I, once again, had her in the moby wrap and she was napping. All the while I was helping Liam with lunch and craft time. I am impressed by her ability to sleep when a lot is going on around her but perhaps she heard a bit of the commotion before being born.

It only took a couple to tries for me to figure out how to wrap the yards of fabric around me in a secure way in order to wear my baby. A day or two after I started doing this on a daily basis I noticed how it made me feel calmer and comforted by her closeness, cuddles and happy demeanor. Plus it makes it easier for me to play with Liam and get us all outside to enjoy the sunshine. Now I can tie it on in a matter of minutes and I almost always put it on before we leave the house. It is much easier to wear Emma than to carry around her infant carrier car seat.

I decided to google it and found that the closeness of babywearing helps increase hormones in my body and antibodies in hers. Babies need to be carried and it helps us and them to be happier and healthy!
