We went with some friends to a local farm and Liam was able to help feed the chickens, goats and cows!
Here he is helping with the bucket of feed that we took to the momma goat and her baby.
Next, he went to pick apples to feed to the dairy cows.
Farmer Gwen explained to Liam why you had to give the cows small apples to eat so they wouldn't choke on them. The cows really liked eating the apples!
I wasn't sure if he'd want to but Liam helped feed his apple to the cows, with help of course. One good lick and that apple was gone.
Before I had a chance to get my camera ready, one of the cows licked the top of his head.... I looked over to see a big glob of cow drool was all over his hair! His first real cowlick :)
I can't wait to take the kids back to the Stowe dairy farm this winter when they sell Christmas trees, give hay rides and make ornaments! Emma was hanging out in her baby carrier and watching her brother get licked by a cow!
If anyone in town is interested, check out the link to their website above.
They sell local, grass fed black angus at the farm and local farmer's markets.
