We had a fun playdate where Liam was introduced to slime and he really liked it. So after we got home, I looked up homemade slime recipes and we made some of our own. Liam told me over and over again that it was the best slime day ever!
Who knew that water, baking soda, cornstarch and a few drops of blue food coloring could be so much fun :) I have a funny feeling that the slime saga will continue.....
On her own messy adventures, Emma has started eating 'solid' foods. I tried the typical rice cereal and she she made horrible facial expressions and would lean backwards and any direction away from the spoon!
I read about baby led weaning which basically introduces soft foods, instead of purees, and the baby feeds herself. I still plan to read more on this but thought it was worth an experiment. So, I baked a sweet potato and cut into small pieces. I put a piece on the tip of my finger and held it out for Emma. She grabbed my whole hand and pulled my finger and the sweet potato into her mouth! We might be on to something here, the little one wants to feed herself :) Another messy saga to be continued......
At the park last week, Liam and I noticed some baby girls, older than Emma, that were playing with their older brother's cars and trucks. He thought it was funny because they kept putting the vehicles in their mouths. I told him to wait and soon Emma would do that to his toys.....
Who would have guessed that she'd do it that very day! Hmmm....I wonder what a John Deere combine tastes like!
And just in case you were wondering.... Yes, Liam can fit into a bumbo seat!
