We had a busy spring with two sports activities. Liam had fun playing tball and golf. I took these photos at his first game. It was a beautiful Saturday and one of the few times in the season when both Josh and I could attend. I ended up taking photos most of the game and Josh entertained Emma with bubbles!
Liam and his coach are getting for his first time up at bat. Keep your eye on the ball!
Way to go, Liam, now run to first base!
I'd never been to a tball game, let alone the first game in the season, and I found it quite entertaining. A saw a batter run straight to second base after hitting the ball and it was funny to see the kids scramble to get the ball. They could be spread out over the field and then as soon as the ball was on the ground they'd run into each other and sometimes on top of and over each other to get the ball.
Emma watched for awhile and cheered for Liam, "go brother." When she got restless and started running around, I was prepared with bubbles. Josh took her over to the field behind us and kept her entertained.
Liam was positioned on third base during bubble time. I heard him tell his coach that his Dad was blowing bubbles for his little sister.
Coach Chan reminded him to watch for the ball. It hard to stay focused with so much going on. Some players watched the batter, some twirled in the field and some just chatted with other players. Liam told me the other team's player on second base talked to him about lizards.
A wonderful Saturday and great start to the season. I've always loved spring and now we have baseball to add to our list of things to look forward to when the weather starts to warm up!
It didn't take too long for Emma to take over blowing the bubbles!
